Navigation

The navigation is much improved and the site is now fully searchable. The front page will feature the latest speed runs, news items and submitted articles like walkthroughs, tips & tricks, speedups and tutorials. Click on Halo CE and the front page will show the same content as above but only show articles and recent runs related to Halo CE. Click on The Silent Cartographer to see it’s related articles and recent speed runs. From there you can (very soon) select individual records like Single Player Easy, or 2 Player Legendary, and all of the latest runs within that category will be viewable, with older records posted directly below the latest records.

HSH Forum

We now have our own forum. Accounts (see below) are common to the forum and main site. When a Speed Run is verified and published the site will automatically generate a new forum topic for the Speed Run.

YouTube

With YouTube hosting there is no longer a need to dispose of old runs, and future runs will be provided in HD. Since this not a commercial site YouTube videos are provided ad free in most cases. Our YouTube account has been cleared for videos of any length so we will be moving all longer, and Single Segment Speed Runs there as well.

RSS

An RSS feed is available for anyone who wants to be notified when a new run is posted.

Runners

There are 3 categories of runners. Only you will know which category you are in. If you have a speed run on the Current Fastest Times table at the old highspeedhalo.net site you are already registered as a Silver runner.

Silver

Silver runners are retired runners and runners who chose not to maintain accounts here. HSH Staff will maintain these accounts. If a Silver runner wishes to come out of retirement and submit a Speed Run they must reactivate their account by sending an email to NOKYARD@highspeedhalo.net.

Gold

Gold runners are runners who are active either in Speed Running, or in the forums. Their Speed Runs will be verified by HSH staff prior to posting. They have access to advanced site and forum features.

Onyx

Onyx runners will be those who can be trusted to edit and post their own speed runs, including the editing of posts for their existing runs. In a future update they may be able to upload video directly to the HSH YouTube channel.

Subscribers, Fans and Cheerleaders

Accounts will also be available for subscribers, fans and cheerleaders. Once they submit a speed run they will be automatically advanced to Gold Runner status.

Accounts

Accounts are open to the public and are required if you wish to comment on a Speed Run or post in the forums.

Please note: If you have ever submitted a Speed Run, or have ever participated in a Speed Run you already have an account at High Speed Halo. If you are not sure, please check “Current Runner List” on the sidebar of the Home page (click on the HSH logo). If you see if your name on the list you have an account.

We can not link accounts so if you start a new account we will not be able to link your old Speed Runs to your new account. You may log in with your old name and may then change your Display Name at any time. The change will be reflected throughout the site so your new Display Name will show on your old Speed Runs (except in the text portion of a news post).

Silver runners may try to login with the name as it appears on your Speed Run, then select ‘Lost Password’. If the correct email account is on file your password will be mailed to you. You may also may access your account by copying the form below and sending it to NOKYARD@highspeedhalo.net , or by Bungie.net Message (bnet sign in required). This is done to prevent theft of your account.
