Pacifist
Pacifist Runs runs are the same as normal runs, but with a couple extra rules. All runs must be Legendary Single Player. In Halo 3 and beyond you must have Campaign Scoring turned on. You may drive vehicles (but cannot shoot them yourself) and may have a marine or elite in your gunner seat who is shooting, but only where the game will not let you proceed without such action. Splatter kills are allowed.
You may NOT:
- Fire any weapons.
- Use Grenades
- Melee, including unintentional melees where there are no enemies.
- Die.
In Halo 2 and 3 you may NOT:
- Use Energy Sword.
In Halo 2 and 3 you may:
- Swap weapons with Marines.
In Halo 3 you may NOT:
- Use Gravity Hammer or Equipment.
Special Rule: Due to the reasons stated in this forum post we consider the Killing of 343 Guilty Spark during the Halo (H3) Mission to be an “Active Cut Scene” and not part of regular game play. Therefore the shooting of 343 Guilty Spark will be allowed for a Pacifist Halo run.
An excellent example of a Pacifist Speed Run:
