Once in a while a speed run comes along which must not be missed.

This is one such run.

You MUST watch HISTORY100 run Crow’s Nest if you want to see a nearly perfect specimen of running efficiency, flawless creative tricking, and combat proficiency. From the Hangar battle to the Drone ride there isn’t one area which fails to excite. He even shows us a handful of new tricks including Hammer Box launches (one is not off of a box!), and an exciting new way to ride a Drone.

This beats the previous record by an incredible 46 seconds.

This is not the world record. However, it is the fastest run we have on video. Pahis’ run of this is long lost and we’ll likely never see it.

This was in fact a world record for about a week, it beat Pahis’ old record of 11:04. He went back and beat it with an amazing time of 9:33.

However, this is a vast improvement over the run currently on the website. So I thought I’d post this for the sake of people watching the videos.

I hope one day, Pahis or someone else comes back and gets another sub 10 on this mission.

Community Project: Halo 3 Done Segmented

High Speed Halo announces the start of our Community Speed Run Project: Halo 3 Done Segmented. This is the next instalment in the Done Segmented series which has produced the blistering fast, intense, and highly entertaining speed run videos, H1DS and H2DS. For those of you not familiar with segmented speed runs let me bring you up to speed. All speed runs are a balance of risk versus reward. Do you attempt a high risk shortcut, charging in head first risking death, or do you add time by playing it safe? Segmenting removes risk from the equation, leaving you with pure, and highly entertaining, reward. We plan to complete and release Halo 3 Done Segmented well before Halo 4′s launch.
